Key Insights
Schmitz Ready Mix saves $3,000 a day using a Superior concrete washout system to remove leftover materials from their trucks and use as a sellable product. Before the washout system, the trucks were dumping their leftovers on the ground or at a dumpsite, which meant more money for fuel and wages to travel to that site.
Now, a truck can be cleaned within three to four minutes, the water is recycled through the system to save on water costs and the company is recovering 80% of the material being washed out of the trucks to be used as a sale-able product.
