The Challenge
Daanen & Janssen, Inc. faced production capacity challenges with an older, less efficient crusher plant. The existing setup operated for 20 hours a day and consisted of a smaller 300-horsepower cone and dual king roll crushers, making it a cumbersome and costly operation. Increasing production demands and stringent noise regulations necessitated a more efficient solution that could operate within tighter time constraints.

The Solution
In collaboration with Superior Industries and their dealer, Rock Machinery, Iron River utilized the Superior Portable P300 Patriot® Cone Closed-Circuit Plant.
This compact yet powerful solution met their needs for adaptability and mobility. The plant's design allowed for quick setups and teardowns, critical in contract crushing scenarios where moving between sites swiftly is crucial.

The Results
The portable cone plant proved to be a high-performer, delivering up to 300 TPH of pure stone production despite encountering the hardest stone the team had ever processed.
It also enabled the production of two different dense grade DOT spec materials simultaneously at rates up to 500 TPH.
This capability allowed Iron River to maximize uptime and efficiency, proving the plant’s effectiveness in a competitive contract crushing market and paving the way for further geographic and market expansion..
