Superior’s Construction Management team has reached another milestone with the addition of its first-ever Director of Sales, Kristin Sweeney.
Her appointment strengthens our ability to deliver more turnkey projects, positioning Superior as a trusted partner for end users while creating new opportunities for collaboration with dealers.
A Proven Industry Leader
Kristin brings two decades of experience across operations, engineering, and sales at respected companies like US Aggregates, Oldcastle, and CRH. Having spent so much time in a producer’s boots, she understands the full mining cycle.
Kristin has planned and permitted, drilled and blasted, crushed and screened, sold rock, and managed teams of operators. She’s even sat in the very seat we hope to win over—as a project manager of turnkey plants for an aggregate producer.
This broad background gives her a unique ability to see projects from every angle (producer, engineer, and supplier) and connect those perspectives into technically sound solutions.
“I’m passionate about plant performance and optimization, and I see construction management as a way to partner with dealers to deliver that to producers,” she says.

Partnership That Delivers
In her new role at Superior, Kristin will be responsible for guiding opportunities from the first conversation through contract execution, while collaborating with engineering, estimating, and others to ensure a seamless process.
For dealers, Kristin’s background creates a unique advantage. Having once sat in the project manager’s seat for turnkey plants, she understands the pressures, decision-making, and financial justifications customers face.
That perspective gives dealers an added resource when engaging prospects, someone who can reinforce their message with real-world producer experience.
“This is about one team, the local dealer and Superior, working together so producers see consistency, accountability, and a one-stop shop for their operation," she says. “It’s a seamless partnership, whether the project is a complete plant build, a single screen replacement, or a routine liner change.”
The Road Forward
Based in suburban Indianapolis, where she lives with her husband Patrick and their two children, Kristin started at Superior on July 14.
Her leadership promises stronger alignment, clearer communication, and turnkey projects that highlight the value of working as one team. The result is a partnership designed to elevate both Superior and its dealer network in the eyes of producers.
